Why Visit Labuan


 

Labuan is a duty free island and can offer good business incentives as well as providing visitors with excellent value holidays.

Nearby Oil Fields off Brunei has resulted in the Island becoming a major oilfield support base, with the resulting associated business, including fabrication and ship repair 

Many Commonwealth visitors travel to Labuan to visit the war graves cemetery, which includes the final resting place of many of the unfortunate prisoners war who died as a result of the infamous Sandakan death March  

Undiscovered Labuan - The marine park 2 k of the south coast of Labuan offers pristine beaches where visitors can camp or stay in chalet, sunbathe on the beaches or swim and snorkel in the clear waters, which include some 20 dive sites.

Further afield for the adventurous there are four wrecks which can be explored by suitable qualified divers

Labuan offers many places of interest such as the mysterious  Chimney and Tanjung Kubong coal mine, where you can learn about the history of mining

Annual events, Borneo Yacht Race, International Sea Challenge and Remembrance day attract many visitors
